We spend some time with my daughter playing New Style Boutique (Style Savvy Trendsetters in the US). She is really not a big gamer and rarely plays anything for more than half an hour. This she played almost all weekend, until we realised she wasn’t reading in her room but 3DS-ing.
Like the first game you run your own Fashion Shop, manage stock and interact with customers. It’s the clever balance of dressing up and personal interaction with clients that seems to make this ideal for younger players. It’s a shame there aren’t more male customers and clothes though.
