The LEGO Minifigures Online game has just gone into open beta which means we can show you what the game is about and how it plays. Join Adam as he chooses his minifigure, battles ghostly pirates and journey’s through a LEGO forest.

LEGO Minifigures Online is a free-to-play online game for the PC with an iPad version due later this year. The game offers a subscription model that rewards you with weekly diamonds, a minifigure bag every month, exclusive quests and enables you to earn stars at a faster rate – which you use to upgrade your minifigures.

The ability to chat in-game is kept exclusively for subscribers as the developers wanted to keep this feature as safe as possible. Prices range from $7.99 for a month to $39.99 for 6 months and $59.99 for a year.

You can also buy minifigure bags and packs with the in-game currency or real money alongside health potions and diamonds (the in-game currency).
