A new 3DS console has just been announced. The “New Nintendo 3DS”. New 3DS and New 3DS XL.

The hardware sports an improved screen with a wider viewing angles, a faster CPU and adjusted dimensions.

While it’s roughly the same size as current models it incorporates the buttons found on the 3DS Circle Pad Pro accessory. A C-button, named after the GameCube pad’s C-stick, grants dual analogue controls, along with additional trigger buttons L2 and R2.

It also provides a micro USB card slot and NFC-reading technology are also built in all ready for amiibo.
