Angry Birds Solar System – Game-Play Analysis

We have a quick look at the new levels for Angry Birds Space 15 new levels. Each level features a planet, comet or satellite in our Solar System.

Creating fun learning has been a success of the Angry Birds and NASA collaboration. Angry Birds Space is now present in many classrooms around the world. In the latest update, players can explore the planets of the Solar System and get to know fun facts just by playing the game.

Sanna Lukander, VP Learning, Rovio Entertainment says “We have spent time defining our approach to learning and strongly believe that learning is fun when you love what you do, when it’s fun to fail, when you feel intrinsically motivated and when you experience flow. Well-designed games are strong in all of those four fields by default, thus offering a next generation platform for outstanding learning experiences.”

Exciting space videos can be watched directly in the game and there are direct links to NASA’s website, allowing teachers and pupils to increase their knowledge of each topic. The update explores groundbreaking concepts of stealth learning and casual learning, making the educational experience feel as much fun as playing any Angry Birds title.

“We’re excited to collaborate with Rovio on this largest update ever to Angry Birds Space. Everyone who plays will find surprises that take you to more information about our missions of discovery and exploration in our solar system and beyond,” said David S. Weaver, associate administrator for communications at NASA Headquarters in Washington. “It comes as NASA is about to complete the first-ever assessment of our solar system with the arrival of New Horizons at Pluto July 14.”

LEGO Angry Birds Sets – 2016 Teaser Details and Analysis

New images of the LEGO Angry Birds sets have appeared online.

Rovio, makers of the popular Angry Birds games had previously announced a partnership with The LEGO Group to develop a line of construction toys. LEGO Angry Birds are to be available in spring 2016 to coincide with the release of The Angry Birds Movie.

However at the time we didn’t have sight of any actual Lego bricks to illustrate what this may look like in practice. Today there has appeared online a poster for the upcoming Lego sets featuring Red holding an egg, stood on a pile of the iconic studded Lego bricks.

While this doesn’t give a huge amount away it does indicate a willingness on Lego’s part to stray from the usual mini-figure design. The Angry Birds in Lego form look like a good fit for the characters from the game and movie, but less like traditional Lego characters. Of course other franchises have led this drift into more unique sculpts — take The Simpsons for example.

Seeing the Angry Birds in Lego form does also raise the question of whether their transit may be completed by them appearing in a Lego video-game. Perhaps even Lego Dimensions. This may seem far fetched but then so did the inclusion of Portal and Doctor Who before they were confirmed.
