We take a look at the new PlayStation 4 version of Minecraft that’s just been released on Sony’s latest console and see what’s new and different about Mojang’s popular hit.
First we quickly go through the tutorial world, seeing if any meaningful changes have been made to this important section for any new players of the game (there’s still people who haven’t played Minecraft yet?)
Then we enter creative mode and see how big the new world size is (36 times!) and how this version compares to the vanilla PC one and its predecessors, the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 Editions.
If you’ve already purchased Minecraft on the PS3 then you can upgrade to this new version for a small fee. You can even transfer your world saves and DLC over to the PS4.
