We check out the Sebring night racing in Forza 6. Racing around the track not being able to see very far ahead of you increased the level of tension. The eye is drawn to the horizon as the amount of detail available to the driver is greatly reduced with just the highlights of track markings and direction racing by.
“We had a specific vision for night. There is a lot of trust required by night racing. It was helped by working on the same code-base as Horizon 2. The shadows cast on the walls from the cars in front is something you don’t often see in games but makes it more immersive.”
Although there was a big three screen setup at the Xbox Showcase for Forza 6 this remains a development only option and isn’t something provided for the public as yet.
