Forza Motorsport 6 – New Rio Track

Forza Motorsport 6 – New Rio Track

Forza Motorsport is an E3 regular, along with Forza Horizon it’s gathered momentum as the goto driving experience on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

This year Forza Motorsport 6 pulls in new features from Forza Horizon 2 while extending the number of tracks, cars and number of competitors on the road at the same time. Put it all together and you have one of the best racing games on any platform.

“This entire time since the launch of Forza 5 we’ve been able to work new features and visuals into Forza Motorsport 6. Night racing for instance, is about that claustrophobia of a road only lit by your headlights. The new materials system allows us to simulate all of the intricacies and imperfections of different driving surfaces.”

At the Xbox Showcase event this evening I got to hear from Dan Greenawalt, Creative Director at developer Turn 10, about what makes this Forza game stand above the rest. Putting the new Rio track through its paces in bright sunshine it was visually impressive, but Greenawalt was keen to emphasis the level of simulation going on here.
